City Matters
City Matters is an eight-week course exploring
issues of race, faith and justice in the city.
Topics such as health, housing and education serve
as starting points to deeply explore the issues communities of
poverty struggle with, how it all came to be and how we as individuals
and communities can offer ourselves to solutions.
The class incorporates lecture, small group
discussion, readings, guest speakers and volunteer service to
create a learning environment where
• Knowledge is shared
• Community is formed
• Connections are made
• And where action can begin
