Volunteer Opportunities
Sanctuary in the Schools
The Sanctuary aims to partner with North Minneapolis Public Schools to assist both
teachers and students in moving toward the goal of increased academic achievement.
- Commit to volunteering one hour per week tutoring during the school year.
- Assist student with general math and reading skills or homework as assigned by teacher.
- Encourage student about the benefits of education and consistent school attendance.
- Be a positive role model and friend in the life of the student.
Special Events Team
Volunteers who are willing to plan and help carry out special events related to the work of The Sanctuary Community Development Corporation. Opportunities arise both in the community and within the organization. This could be a great opportunity for people who are unable to commit to something weekly.
Photography/Videography
We are always looking for individuals interested in helping us document the work that we are doing in the community and with individuals. Our goal is to consistently photograph and videotape our programs and participants, as well as special projects to help express the mission and vision of the organization through multimedia and photography. Materials would be used for publications, fundraising, church services and more.
